Looking at the snow outside and dreaming of spring.

We have amused ourselves reading the Plant Delights Cataloques that arrived in the mail.  Especillay the description of Ariesema 'Trumpeteer'.

What are you growing that is new, or controversial, this year?

The day we sit at the edge of our seats...

The anticipation had me awake at "0 Dark 30".

Going to vote as soon as I can this morning.

Lord watch over us as we attempt to make the right decisions for our country today. Decisions that bring us through the next 4 years and beyond.

This Geranium cotyledonis, a winter growing succulent, is growing very well under the lights in January 2015.
Our newest adventure is the installation of iGrow magnetic induction lighting for the succulent collection in the winter. From early November until March the entire greenhouse collection will be transported into the unfinished basement, where the heat from the furnace will keep them in a 60 degree F. temperature range on a 12 hour on 12 hour off lighting schedule. This is a picture of the first trial bench in August of 2014.
